This section was born cos we noticed that in particular in The Netherlands the people makes confusion between "Doujinshi" and "Original".
Often we found persons that called "Original Works" with the name of Doujinshi or Fanzine.
This terms are used with wrong meaning, so here it's a little guide on how these words must be used.
What is a Doujinshi?
Doujinshi or Doujin are manga inspired to existent productions, pratically they are as fanarts but not with a simple illustration but with a series of
comic strips.
The subject could be taken from everything is already famous, so you can find Doujinshi of Mangas, Animes, Movies, JPop artists and etc.
In Japan these production have a large scale, and there are also conventions dedicated to them, the most famous is the "Comiket".
There you can find this products also in specialized shops, where it's possible also to find old doujinshis, cos at the convention in general the new products are sold.
Often the doujinshi are drawn from amateurs artists, anyway sometime happens that also famous authors make those.
Always about Famous Artists, it's common that these had started their carrier as doujinshi artists.
What is a Original?
Original or Original work, is the name that in Japan the persons give to original mangas or illlustrations, not based on existent series.
When you make your own character that is considered "Original".
What is a Fanzine?
Fanzine is a magazine made from amatorial persons dedicated often to something of famous as anime or manga, but some time is also possible to find some fanzines with inside
also original works.
What is a Fanart?
If the Doujinshi is a fan manga, the Fanart is a fan illustration. A fanart is when you make a illustration based on something already famous.
What is a Circle?
A Circle is a group of persons that work on Fan works and Original stuffs.
What is a Copic Marker?
It's a particular japanese marker with alcohol based color. It has a squared tip and one as paintbrush. The Copic Markers are used in Japan and in other parts of the world
to make various illustrations.
